urban university is a nonprofit working to improve the socioeconomic status of impoverished individuals by providing employability training, coaching and employment opportunities. Over the past sixteen years, we've successfully delivered workforce development training and coaching services to prepare more than 1,600 low-income individuals for successful entry into the workforce.

Today, we're placing the issues of California's struggling single moms on America's radar screen. We focus on expanding opportunities for low-income single moms. We operate two re-sale stores that provide education and on-the-job training to single moms. Our programs help single moms develop the skills and confidence they need to build a greater future for themselves and their families.
